Scholarship Details

The OMNI TV Scholarship Program offers ten scholarships annually, each valued at $2,000 CAD. These scholarships are available to students at the bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or diploma level and are valid for one academic year. The program provides crucial financial assistance to students, empowering them to pursue their passion for journalism and make meaningful contributions to media representation and storytelling.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the OMNI TV Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada as of the application date.
  • Plan to start or continue full-time studies in a bachelor’s degree, diploma program, or master’s degree in a journalism-related field.

Participating Institutions

The scholarship is open to students attending Canadian educational institutions with recognized provincial degree/diploma-granting powers, or their affiliates, such as universities, colleges, or CEGEPs. This inclusive approach ensures that students from diverse educational backgrounds can benefit from the program and contribute to the evolution of journalism in Canada.
